"Race" History

First thing to note here is that I HATE RACES. I actually detest racing, particulary triathlon racing that's shorter than the half IM.

Why you ask?
  1. I get very anxious and don't sleep much prior to the race, and usually sleep even worse after!
  2. I hate sea swimming and perhaps just open water swimming in general. I've had two major panic attacks in the two medium distance tri's i've entered and it's stopped me entering anything this season.
  3. I'm actually not competitive. At all. I love pushing myself... but don't give a crap about beating anyone else! I actually find people passing me to be very unmotivating.
So why bother with all the training?
  1. I love the work/training/excercise (actually i'm possibly a wee bit addicted)
  2. I love a good event. Particulary the long distance events.
  3. I like pushing to see how far my body can go
